The Free Acess API allows developers access to most of the Betfair API, with some limitations on the rate you can call various services. Specifically, the Free API subsciption level provides access to a subset of the Betfair API and limitations on the number of times you can call an API service per minute. In addition there is no direct developer support provided to users of the Free Access API subscription level.
However, you will have access to the BDP Developer Forums, documentation, and sample code.

The Free Access API is immediately available to anyone with an active Betfair account - there is no need to sign up or have your account 'permissioned'. You're ready to to start developing - all you'll need to know is the following:
